To Let GO is an immersive installation that explores the materiality of emotion, the residue of personal history, and the intimate act of release. Constructed entirely from latex paint, discarded textile remnants used in garment-making, and pieces of the artist’s own clothing, the work becomes a site where memory physically overflows.
Pouring from the wall and pooling onto the floor, the piece evokes an emotional spill—uncontainable and raw. Its palette of skin tones, blush pinks, creams, and bruised hues mimics the body and its internal landscapes. The sculpted paint, layered with cloth, oozes and gathers in folds and crevices, creating a textured terrain that is both tender and confrontational.
Personal clothing—imbued with memory and movement—serves as a tactile archive of past selves. Their recontextualization within the piece transforms these worn fragments into carriers of emotional sediment, hinting at processes of grief, transformation, and the messy beauty of becoming.
This work resists containment. It is soft, sprawling, and insistent. Spilled Over Memories invites viewers into a space where memory cannot be boxed or hidden—it must be touched, witnessed, and felt.
